How is glaucoma treated?

If you are determined to have glaucoma and your eye pressure is continuing to cause damage, your eye doctor will start the appropriate treatment. The three general ways to treat glaucoma are by using eye drops, treating your eyes with laser surgery, or lastly by treating your eyes with incisional surgery. In general, you want the least invasive treatment that is effective for your level of disease. You and your doctor can discuss options to find the best treatment for you.
